Grandparent’s Day Hike in Preservation Park

Sunday, September 10, 2023 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Level 1, easy pace, 5 km Loop trail, rain or shine.

Depart at 12:00 pm, from the parking lot near Fat Duck restaurant on the southern sidewalk of Kortright Road W. 

Free Parking available near Fat Duck and more available across the road near Zehrs (south east corner).

HIke through Preservation Park with planned stops;

1. Grandparent’s Pine (meet D. Penny for a small history lesson)

2. Marker tree

3. Turtle Island

From Turtle Island, we will walk along a multi-use path (sometimes dogs are off leash in this section), toward the Hanlon Tunnel, turning east back towards our starting point. 

Please register before the hike.

Recommendations: Hat, bug spray, small bottle of water.

All welcome for this family hike to celebrate Grandparent’s Day, including dogs on leash.
