Guelph Hiking Trail Club advocating to connect trails and open spaces

The Guelph Hiking Club has representation on Urban Park Guelph and is advocating for Bridging the G2G Gap to downtown Guelph.The Club brought these member motions forward which were unanimously approved by the committee on Jan 24th meeting of the Tourism Advisory Committee.

1. That the Tourism Advisory Committee of Guelph City Council supports the creation of a National Urban Park at the site of the former Ontario Reformatory lands as a potential driver for tourism and destination development.
2. That the Tourism Advisory Committee of Guelph City Council recognizes the economic development and tourism potential of regional trail connections and supports connecting the Guelph to Goderich trailway to the existing Guelph trail system.
