Bring at least 2 L. of water, snacks, lunch, sunscreen, bug repellant and a camera to capture Joe Pye. No dogs please. Hiking boots and a good level of fitness required.
This will be a shuttle hike, meaning we will first drop some cars at the trail end before driving to the trailhead. Please contact the hike leader if you want to join this hike and you don't want to join the carpool from Guelph.
As I write this hike description, I'm on vacation in Ireland. When I Googled the hike title "Looking for Joe Pye", an article in Ireland’s most popular news website, The Irish Independent, came up. The article encouraged me to "seek him out", the "him" being Joe Pye. I have in the past found him when hiking this trail. I'll be excited to find him again on August 31!
