Description
Trailhead
is across 6th Line opposite the Pineridge intersection. Follow the
orange blazes through scrubby meadows and woodlands. The trail rises
steeply to “Kong Hill” lookout. Bit of trivia - It is not named after
King Kong, but rather a former landowner.
Trail goes left (east) off the hill and descends into a coniferous plantation. Careful to follow orange blazes as trail exits to the right off the logging trail and through hardwoods with an uneven rocky footing. Trail eventually emerges onto the abandoned railbed and turns right (remember this turn for on the way back). The trail will eventually turn right off the railbed, so watch out for the orange blazes. Follow the blazes as trail winds through rocky terrain.
The trail will eventually emerge onto Dublin Line. This is time for a break and then turn around and head back.
