Speed River Trail - section 3

This is an interesting, somewhat challenging, section of trail to hike. Often has wet areas, new boardwalks helpful; however, recommend wearing waterproof footwear to be safe, as well as seasonal protection. Bring water and snacks as needed. Meet before 2 p.m., departure time at the Guelph Covered bridge parking lot by the Boathouse on Gordon Street, south of Wellington Street. Trailhead parking is available south of the intersection of Blackridge Road before Townline Road, east of Hespeler, if this proves to your advantage, allowing travel time for hikers coming from Guelph. 2hrs
