Niagara Gorge Trails, NY Side

 PASSPORTS REQUIRED – (makeup hike from a rainout last fall) we hike from Lewiston to the Horseshoe Falls, 18 km in all on NY State Park trails. There is no more spectacular hike in Eastern North America, as standing waves in the Whirlpool rapids are 15+ feet high, and lots of water will be rampaging down the river come May. Two descents and climbs in and out of the gorge. Short section of scrambling over rockfall. Level 2+, Pace moderate. Meet at TD Canada Trust lot at Gordon St. and Clair Rd. at 8:00 A.M.
