Hiking Sunset Pass – Adventures in the Canadian Rockies

Sunset Pass is located just north of Saskatchewan Crossing, on the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper.  It’s an extraordinary landscape of mountains, meadows, cliffs, lakes and neverending wildflowers – a perfect place to spend a week hiking, rain or shine (or both).

Beth Gilhespy, Guelph resident and past CEO of the Bruce Trail Conservancy, will show slides of her visits to Sunset Pass with Skyline Hikers of the Canadian Rockies in 2012 and 2019.  She’ll talk about the Skyline Hikers experience as well as the Rocky Mountain landscape she has grown to love – its rocky grandeur, its natural and cultural history, and the plants and animals that make it their home.

Meeting starts at 7pm in Paisley Rd Zehr's Community room on 2nd floor. Non-members welcome.
