Wed Adhoc hike - CANCELLED St. Jacobs Health Valley Trail

Due to bad weather this hike has been cancelled.

Level 1,  Speed moderate, 10km

Park in Front Street parking lot, for 10am departure, in St. Jacobs that accesses the St. Jacob's Health Valley Trail (SJHVT). The trail head is on Albert Street, which is south of King St.- across from the silos, by the Fire station.

It is a flat, mixed surface, 5 Km, in and out (not a loop) walk along the Conestoga River. It is an open trail with few wooded areas; mostly parklike and pasture. There will be wind and the river is not frozen over, so dress warmly, wear waterproof boots, bring icers, and poles (if you like).  If we make good time depending on the conditions, this hike can be extended on the Mill Race Trail that abuts the SJHVT.  We can grab lunch at Jacob's Grill or Stone Crock Restaurant on King Street.  The village has lovely shops to browse through as well.

Hike is easy when conditions are good; moderate when icy.
