Self guided hike on Museum and Trestle Bridge Trails (crossing Grand River)

Follow COVID-19 guidelines of no carpooling with others to get to trailhead and keep your distance when passing other hikers

Notes:
-some hills and steps may be slippery during winter conditions
-anyone scared of heights may not want to do this hike since you cross the bridge over Grand River.
-Parking is behind the Wellington County Museum, 0536 Wellington Rd 18,Fergus

There is the Museum Trail that runs from the parking lot east down a hill and then up stairs to the Trestle Bridge Trail. Turn right (south/west). Trail will cross over Wellington 18 and then a big bridge over the Grand River. After a short distance the trail will cross South River Rd. Trail continues straight and the next road crossing will be Bridge St. and is 2.4Km from the parking lot now. Another approx. 1km gets you to the end of trail and a Tim Horton’s. Note - during COVID lockdown conditions no in store sit down allowed, only takeout. Washrooms may be open to the public?
