 Only GHTC Members  will be able to register for this hike until a couple of days prior to event. Hike will then be opened up to non-members if there are still vacant spots. Before you can register for hike you must read covid-19 screening questions and be able to answer NO to all of them. You will be asked questions again before hike and not be able to join if at that time you answer yes to any of them.

Masks must be worn at start of hike. A distance of 2 metres must be kept between non related hikers and masks MUST be worn where this is not possible.

If you are registered and can't make it please delete your registration or email leader to let them know.

 Only a maximum of 10 registered hikers will be accepted.

Speed River Trail Section 2 – Celebrate the seasonal re-opening of this section with the end of the hunting season. Out and back. IMHO, this is the most beautiful section of trail that GHTC manages. Bring a camera. Depending on snow conditions, boots, skiis and snowshoes may all be appropriate. We rendezvous at 1:30 at the trailhead on south side of Road 124 (at Rd. 32), on lawn in front of the chainlink fence of the Union Gas compressor station. Pace moderate, level 2, 2.5 hours.
