Riverside Park and Beyond, along the Speed River Hike

Covid protocols if still mandated will apply.

A maximum of 10 hikers may register.

From Speedvale Ave to Victoria Rd and return along the Speed River -

Meet in the parking lot parking behind the Firehall on Speevale for a 9:30 AM departure. We will walk from the parking lot behind the firehall north through Riverside park, across Woodlawn Rd and along the trails on the east side of the Speed river, to Victoria Rd, returning the same way, but using some side trails for variety and the trail on the opposite side of the river south of Woodlawn Rd. The round trip will be about 7 km. (Depending on the groups’ interest the hike could be extended to include some of the Ignatius Old Growth trails west of Victoria Rd on the north side of the river. If interested in extending the hike be sure to bring a lunch.)

 2.5-3  hrs, Level 2. Moderate pace
