Mt. Nemo – Bronte Creek Valley

Covid protocols if still mandated will apply. If you are not feeling well on day of the hike please cancel your registration by signing on to web or email leader to let them know.

Hike 8 km of the Bruce Trail from the scenic lookouts at the top of Mt. Nemo down to Bronte Creek Valley, across Bronte Creek and make the steep climb up the north side of the valley to the intersection of No. 8 Sideroad and Twiss Rd.  Hiking footwear necessary. Long pants to protect against ticks on trails recommended. Bring water, snacks.

 Meet at 1 p.m. at the Guelph Covered Bridge to car pool to Mt. Nemo Conservation Area parking lot or meet there (entrance fee). We’ll shuttle back from No. 8 sideroad parking (N 43.429065o, W 79.927324o), maximum 5 cars. Option for dinner at the Lowville Bistro.

 Contact hike leader if you plan to meet at Mt. Nemo instead of car pooling to ensure enough seats for return shuttle.

 11km, 4-5 hrs. Level 2-3. Speed Moderate
