HIKE CHANGE - Portion of the SRT section 1, out and back/loop hike

 Only a maximum of 10 registered hikers will be accepted.

Because of trail conditions this hike is being modified to:

New Meeting/Start & End Location – Whitelaw Rd dead end

Total hike distance: 8.2kms

Total hike time: 2.5hrs

Conditions: Trail is icy in spots, icers/spikes/boots/poles recommended

Hike along the Speed River Trail main trail to the (Humane Society) and then back to the parking lot via the main trail and the john Woods Side Trail. Moderate speed approximately 2 hours total.

NOTE: appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather, snowy trails, possibly mud or ice. Rocks, roots and a few short hills.
