Wednesday, October 18, 2023 - Smith Property Loop, Level 1 with one hill, Moderate pace. 4.5 kms. Depart at 9:30 am. Meet at the trailhead on Watson Rd, about 650 m south of Stone Rd (parking on the wide gravel shoulder on the east side of Watson Rd. S). We begin the hike in a fairytale-like tunnel through a dense cedar forest and then take a short side trail to the Eramosa River. After following the river for two kms, we climb out of the river valley at the end of the loop. The return trip leads us through pine forest and meadows and features a stunning view of the Eramosa River Valley. - credit to Nicola Ross.
