Celebrate the annual re-opening of what is arguably the most beautiful section of GHTC's 90 km trail system, as it runs along several rapids on Section 2, of the Speed River Trail!
We meet at the covered bridge lot on Gordon St. at 9:00 to carpool, or at 9:15 at the junction of Roads 32 and 124 (either park in the Superior Propane lot on N. side of 124 or, preferably, if minimal snow, on the grass at the trailhead in front of the Union Gas compressor station on the S. side of 124.) Depending on snow and temperature conditions, any of skis, snowshoes, or hiking boots can be appropriate....please check the most recent forecasts and judge accordingly. But expect some mud if it's not been quite cold for some time.
