Ignatius Forest and Royal Recreation Trails

 Meet at 1:00 PM at the crossing lights on Victoria Road North near the Guelph Lake Trail entrance. 

We will explore the Ignatius Old Growth Forest trails as they meander through the forest. We will have the opportunity to check out the old ruins, the marsh view, the boardwalks, and the forest growth project as well as the Speed River. Then we will go along the other side of the Speed River using the Royal Recreation Trails. 

Approximately 8km (Please note: this hike is two parts and you can leave after the Ignatius trail part).

Trail conditions - there are icy, snowy sections so icers/poles are recommended.

Parking - along both sides of Victoria Road North. Please watch for no parking/no stopping signs near the new crossing lights.
