Spencer Gorge
We will explore this most spectacular escarpment gorge right next to my hometown of Dundas, via a rough trail along the creek and up to the base of Tew's Falls and back. Its' famous ice cone might still be there. Time and energy permitting, we will also hike up the scarp to the view off of the Dundas Peak, and then back into the gorge along the former route of the Bruce Trail to the base of Webster's Falls, and return.
Level 2+. Pace moderate. Up to 12 km in all.
Bring lunch or snacks.
Meet at covered bridge lot on Gordon St., Guelph at 9:00 for the 35 minute carpool to Dundas.
