Certified Hike Leadership Course - Registration Required

You will become a confident hike leader in one day by taking Hike Ontario's Certified Hike Leader course, as facilitated by Bill Mungall. You can then begin scheduling your own hikes with GHTC.

Limited to 12 registrants. Register with Wally Vandervaart, Hike Program Coordinator at wallyvandervaart@gmail.com by March 10, and bring cash or a cheque made out to Hike Ontario to the class.

Cost is $50, $25 of which is refundable after leading at least 3 hikes for GHTC. You will receive an 80 page leadership manual by Hike Ontario, a CHL badge, and will be certified and insured by Hike Ontario as a leader. (Plus a secret bonus gift, thanks to the generosity of GHTC.)

Participants should arrive at the Guelph Longo's (Clair W. and Gordon) by 9:00. Dress as you would for a day hike and bring a daypack, packed with what you would normally bring along on a day-long hike, with perhaps a few extras that you might take as a leader..  

Lunch must be purchased from Longo's excellent deli (their compensation for GHTC getting to use their room for free !)
