The trail circles Island Lake and includes scenic vistas, lake spanning bridges and
provides opportunities for viewing wildlife. The trail surface is crushed stone, soil
and decking. Participants can choose the 8k Vicki Baron Lakeside Trail or add the
Island Lake Family Trail and Hockley Trail to make this a 10K hike.
Please bring water, sunscreen, hat, bug repellent and snacks. Hiking poles and
hiking boots not required. No dogs please.
Carpool options: Meet Peter at 8:30 am at the Covered Bridge, 114 Gordon St.,
Guelph or Marie at 8:45 at the Rockmosa Community Hall, 110 Rockmosa Dr.,
Rockwood (across from tennis courts)
