From the trailhead we will make a loop following the Bennett Heritage trail to the Bruce trail and back to Scotsdale Farm. This route offers a good variety of terrain. Rocks, roots, foot bridges, streams and wonderful views. It can get muddy in some areas depending on the weather.
We will be going for post hike lunch at the Red Harp Pub in Acton. All are welcome to join. Please keep this in mind if you choose to carpool.
Pace: Moderate-Brisk 4-5km/h pace
Difficulty: Level 2+
Distance: Approximately 10km loop
Hiking time: 2.5hrs
Required: hiking shoes, dress for the weather
Recommended: water, snack, hat, bug spray, sunscreen, poles
No dogs please
OPTIONS
1) Meet at the trailhead parking at Scotsdale Farm at 9:30am
2) Carpool - Met Norm at the Parking lot South end of the Ethnic Supermarket close to Victoria Rd. We will be wheels up at 8:45am so arrive with time to get organized.
3) Meet Melissa at the United Church parking in Arkell. Parking is available along Watson Rd and at house #821. We will be wheels up at 8:45am. So arrive with time to get organized.
