This hike through a section of the, “Trails Halton Hills” is from Nicola Ross’s Halton Loops & Lattes Hiking Series. Hungry Hollow is a hidden gem! It’s a deep valley that courses through one of southern Ontario’s prettier towns, but for the most part Georgetown is out-of-sight and out-of-mind. You’re in an oasis of forest, marsh and water. The trail takes you across bridges over Silver Creek, which flows into the Credit River and on a fabulous 500m boardwalk through a lovely marshy area. This beautiful loop is truly, “Wilderness in the city”.
Bring, water, snacks or lunch and hat. Hiking poles not required. No dogs please.
