Get into the spirit of Halloween - hike the Devil's Pulpit! Fall colours will be at their peak.
Meet October 27th in the Covered Bridge Parking Lot, 114 Gordon St. by 8:55 AM for a 9:00 AM carpool departure to the trailhead. Because parking is limited at trailhead, please join the carpool.
On this hike we'll descend and later ascend steep rock faces (on treacherous stairs), scramble over big boulders, and hike three other side trails.
Side trails hiked: Devil's Pulpit, Ring Kiln, Trimble, Crow's Nest.
This won't be a descent into Hell, but it is a difficult hike! If you aren't in shape or are uncomfortable with this level of difficulty then please consider another hike more suited to your ability.
This won't be a fast hike. Because of the nature of the terrain the pace will be slow.
Total distance hiked: 12 km. Terrain: very difficult(3). Time moving: 4 hours.
Average Pace: slow.
Descent/Ascent at Devil's Pulpit: approx. 150m.
