There's no doubt about it, winter is approaching and with it all of the things we like about it! Getting out hiking along a river, we can notice the changes that come with the season. For example, many of the birds that migrate north for the summer, (Golden Eye, Mergansers) , return in November. What changes do you notice?
Please join me on a hike that will follow trails along the Grand River in Kitchener, where we'll notice changes that signal the imminent return of winter - yippee!
Meet at the J.A. Pollock Family Trailway, Shirley Drive in Kitchener, (opposite BMW Grand River, https://maps.app.goo.gl/coh8RHGE8zGZwngZ8) at 9:00 AM November 10th. This location is the trail end. From here we will pile into a few cars to drive (shuttle) to the trailhead. The trailhead is The Record Heritage Trailway:
(https://maps.app.goo.gl/nqrgAbzsZEEgUxAA8). From here we will walk back to the trail end at J.A. Pollock.
