Fergus to Elora Loop
Wednesday November 6, 2024 – Fergus to Elora and return. Level 1, Moderate pace (4 kms per hour) approximately 2 hours, 8 kms. Depart at 9:30 am from the parking lot on Beatty Line North beside the Elora to Cataract Trailway on the west side of Fergus. This hike follows two rail trails, the Trestle Bridge and the Elora to Cataract, part of the 275-km-long Grand Valley Trail. Highlights include two pedestrian bridges over the Grand River, Bissell Park in Elora and the magnificent Wellington County Museum and Archives.
We will carpool from the Canadian Tire parking lot on Woodlawn Road (closest to the road). Meet at 9 am. Please let the hike leader know if you plan to meet at the trailhead.
Bring water and a snack. Coffee or lunch afterwards for those interested.
