Rockwood Conservation Area Vita Parcours
When: Wednesday, December 4, 2024
9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Location: Rockwood Conservation Area, 161 Fall St., South, Rockwood
Limit: 18 hikers
Enjoy this beautiful, fitness hike on the Cedar Ridge and Pothole trails, on both sides of the Eramosa River in the Rockwood Conservation Area. Towering limestone cliffs, caves, glacial potholes and the ruins of the Harris Woolen Mill are a few of it’s natural wonders.
We will have fun participating in Vita Parcours fitness stations throughout the hike. These exhilarating, mostly functional movement fitness stations will combine exercise, fresh air and vitamin “N” (Nature). Be prepared to find your “inner child” as we sing and perform silly actions to movement songs!
Hike: Level 1, moderate pace with vigorous activities, approximately 7km.
Trail is mostly hard packed with a couple hills. Hiking poles and hiking boots are not required.
Running shoes are fine.
Bring water and snacks. No dogs please.
Note: There is no park entrance fee as the leader has access to three GRCA (Grand River Conservation Authority) passes. Each pass will admit 6 people and permission has been given for participants to park inside the Conservation Area. Turn left when you go through the gates to the parking lot.
