Spending Time in Nature Aids in recovery.

Research suggests that everyday nature exposure is a powerful way to improve physical and psychological recovery in cancer survivors.

Increasing outdoor time for your health is so well proven, that nature is being adopted worldwide as a health intervention and in Canada, healthcare providers can even write you a prescription for it, with BC Parks Foundation's PaRx program. Nature is becoming the fourth pillar of health just as important for staying healthy as good nutrition, regular exercise and sleep.

Whether or not you have a PaRx Nature prescription, we can help.
Here's how:

Our Walk April 15, 2025
(You must register online to join this walk.)

We'll walk the trails of Crawford Lake Conservation Area. Some park trails but mostly Bruce Trail. Distance will be at least 6 Km. If everyone attending the hike wants to walk further, we will.

Meet at 9:40 AM on April 15 for a 9:45 carpool departure to the trailhead.  The carpool will leave from 110 Rockmosa Drive, Rockwood, (next to the tennis courts). Your admission into the C.A. will be covered. Space is limited to ten.

Distance: 6 Km. Pace: slow to moderate. Terrain: 2. Walking time: 2 hours.

Bring at least 2L of water, snacks, hiking poles. Dress for the weather.
Hiking boots required - no sneakers.

Option for lunch at the Trail Eatery after the walk.
