When: Wednesday, 16 April, 9:30-11:30
Where: Crane Park. Park toward the north end of Dovercliffe Rd near the cut-through into the park (use house #162 Dovercliffe as a GPS locator but avoid the no parking section on the curve). Please Note: We're entering Crane Park from a different point so Do NOT park in the small lot off Stone/College.
What: We'll do a circular hike encompassing both sides of Crane Park which will take us through a mixed landscape of forests, fields and streams. We will also cross GHTC's latest bridge, one of many built by the club with community support in 2023. This sensitive area for fish and wildlife is under revitalization to remove invasive buckthorn, plant native flora and improve trails.
Distance: about 5.5 k, easy pace, easy terrain with one long, gradual gradient climb. Muddy spots inevitable. Appropriate footwear, bring water, poles optional.
