rare Trails Blair Area, Cambridge
Level 2, moderate pace, approximately 6 kms.
Carpool from the Covered Bridge at 9:00 am, depart trailhead at 9:30 for approximately 2 hours of hiking.

We will hike the following trails: ECO Centre, Osprey Tower, River, Woodland and the Grand Trunk which take us through grassland and shrubland habitats, mature deciduous forest and past limestone cliffs over the Grand River. The River Trail offers a walk of medium difficulty on soil and rocky substrate. We will likely see birds and spring flowers. Bring insect repellent for the ticks. Poles will be helpful.
The main focus of the rare Charitable Research Reserve is conservation; they also carry out research, offer educational programs and work with Indigenous organizations. The trails at rare are free and open to the public from dawn to dusk for exercise and connecting to nature. Parking is available near the old barn on Blair Road.
