Credit Valley Footpath (Glen Williams)

Near the intersection of 22nd Sideroad and 10th Line in Halton Hills.
Time:9:30 AM - approximately 12:30 PM
Distance:11 km (out & back) Fast pace hike with limited breaks!
Hike Rating:Level 2+ Experienced hikers with a good level of fitness required!
Trail: roots, rocks, some river crossings, very hilly & rugged in spots
Recommended:
Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots or shoes, spare socks, hiking poles, 1-2 L water, snacks, insect repellent, sun screen, sun hat, health card/identification. Dress for the weather. No dogs please.
Details: This beautiful section of the Credit Valley Footpath (CVF) is part of an initiative spearheaded by Credit Valley Conservation, to link southern Ontario’s Greenbelt to Lake Ontario along the “Credit Valley Trail”. It follows part of the 90k-long Credit River which was named by the Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation (guardians of the Credit River lands), who once purchased supplies on “credit” before heading up river to gather furs. The trail follows the blue blazes of a Bruce Trail side trail.

Carpool Option:
Meet at 8:45 AM for an 8:55 AM departure at the Rockmosa Community Hall, 110 Rockmosa Dr. Rockwood (south side of the tennis courts). Carpooling will endeavour to group those wishing to stay for the post hike lunch.
Please let one of the leaders know if you will be meeting at the trailhead, where there is limited parking on the shoulder.
You will have an opportunity to have lunch at the Copper Kettle Pub, 517 Main St., Glen Williams after the hike. Please let Marie know if you want to enjoy lunch, so reservations can be made.
