Nature Walk for Health - HAFTA to Hilton Falls and back

This hike is focused on the goals of the PaRx Program

Hike Description:
Meet in the NE corner of the north parking lot at Elements Casino, 9430 Guelph Line, Milton by 9:00 AM.

We'll cross Guelph Line and walk into the parking lot of the Halton Agreement Forest trail to begin the hike to Hilton Falls. This is an out and back hike.  The return can be shortened as there is a shortcut that cuts off a couple kilometers from the hike.  We'll decide this at the time of the hike.  Terrain: rocks and roots, boardwalks, a few rocky climbs and descents.  There is often a large volume of water flowing over Hilton Falls even in summer.

For a part of this hike we will be walking on Hilton Falls trails for which there is normally a fee. This fee will be covered.

Distance hiked: 9.5 km  or 11.5 km.  Terrain: 2.  Pace: 3-4 km/hr. 

What to Bring:
1.5L of water, snacks, health card, personal first aid kit, rain jacket, sun screen, bug repellant. Hiking poles optional. Hiking boots required. No dogs please.
