Hike name: Borer’s Falls and Berry Tract Loop, Dundas
Level 2, Intermediate, 9:15-11:45
Meet at the trailhead at 9:15am for check in and hike will begin at about 9:30am
Hike description: This 10 km loop will take us through the forest, up some steep hills, and along the escarpment. We will stop at Borer’s Falls then continue along the trail to explore the Rock Chapel and Berry Tract areas. The trail will have sections that are uneven with rocks and roots, steep climbs, dirt and grassy areas, and gravel. There is a section of road walking.
Pace: 3.5 km/hr, approx. 10km, 2 ½ hr. hiking time
Parking: The trailhead is at 43.307512, -79.911644 , where the road dead ends at Hwy 6 and Old Guelph Rd., Dundas.
Required: hiking shoes/boots, dress for the weather, I.D.
Recommended: water, snacks, hiking poles, sunscreen, bug spray, small first aid kit
No dogs please.
