Limehouse Conservation Area, Thursday Fast Hike
When: Thursday, October 2, 2025
Start Time:9:30 am - approx. 11:30 pm
Start Location: Big parking lot across from Limehouse Public school,
(Junction of 5th line and 22 side road)
Difficulty: Level 2 (sustained brisk pace, few short water breaks)
Pace: This is a weekly Thursday fast pace hike offering,
brisk 4.5-5 km/hour paced outing.
Terrain:A few inclines, uneven terrain, rocks, roots, ladder climb (up and down)
Length:Approximately 8 km
Trail: “Figure 8 loop” along Limehouse Conservation Area and Bruce trails
Enjoy the fall colours and lack of bugs as we explore the various trails, including the Bruce Trail and the “hole in the wall”. We will also see remnants of the lime kilns and old powder house.
Required: sturdy hiking shoes or boots (proper grip/treads for rocks);
dress for the weather
Recommended: hiking poles, water, snacks, hat, sunscreen, health card,
small personal first aid kit (band aids, pain med…)
No dogs please
Car Pool Option: meet at Rockmosa Community Centre at 8:50
for 9:00 am departure to Limehouse Parking lot
