Spring hiking season arrives not with perfection, but with promise. The trails are soft and muddy underfoot, and the air carries that unmistakable damp, earthy scent of spring, fresh and full of possibility.
Dogs bound happily along the trail, splashing through puddles, noses busy with all the new smells the season has to offer. There’s a joyful messiness to it all—muddy paws, wet boots, and wide smiles.
You do not have to have a dog to join us - dog lovers welcome.
We will meet in the parking lot at the main arboretum centre.
NOTE: Dogs MUST be leashed.
Terrain:Some gravel paths, boardwalks, and I'm sure there will be MUDDY sections.
Leisurely Pace - Dog walking pace - 3/4km per hour
Dress for the weather. Splash pants or gaiters (not mandatory), supportive footwear, poles might be handy for slippery sections (we walk through the MUD on the trail)
Hikers tip: bring a change of shoes and a bag for your dirty boots.
