Distance:10K or 8K
Difficulty: Level 2 (Sustained brisk 4.5-5 km/hour pace)
Time:9:30 AM – approx. 12:00 PM
Hike Description:
The trail circles Island Lake and includes scenic vistas, lake spanning bridges and provides opportunities for viewing wildlife. The trail surface is crushed stone, soil and decking. Participants can choose the 8K Vicki Baron Lakeside Trail or add the Island Lake Family Trail and Hockley Trail to make this a 10K hike.
What to bring: water, sunscreen, hat, snacks, personal first aid kit, health card. Hiking poles not required. Dress for the weather. No dogs please.
