Rock the Wood “Vita Parcours”
When: Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, 9:30 AM – Approx. 12:00 PM
Location: Rockwood Conservation Area, 161 Fall Street South, Rockwood.
Meet at 9:15 in parking lot on the left past gate
Limit: 18 hikers
Difficulty: Level 1 - moderate pace, approximately 6-7 km.
Trail is mostly hard packed with a couple small hills.
Recommended:
Bring water, snacks, personal first aid kit, health card/identification, dress for the weather.
No dogs please.
Details: Enjoy this beautiful hike on the Cedar Ridge Trail and Pothole Trail, on both sides of the Eramosa River in the Rockwood Conservation Area. Towering limestone cliffs, caves, glacial potholes and the ruins of the Harris Woolen Mill are a few of its natural wonders.
We will have fun participating in Vita Parcours (life track or life course) stations throughout the hike. These exhilarating, functional movement fitness stations will combine exercise, fresh air and vitamin “N” (Nature). Be prepared to find your “Inner Child” on this creative circuit!
There is no park fee since the leader will have three valid GRCA (Grand River Conservation Authority) passes. Each pass will admit 6 “motivated” people. Permission has been given to park inside the conservation area.
