Island Lake Conservation Area

Distance: 10K or 8K
Difficulty: Level 1+
Time: 9:30 AM – approx. 12:00 PM
Hike Description:
The mostly flat trail circles Island Lake and includes scenic vistas, lake spanning bridges and may provide opportunities for viewing wildlife. The trail surface is crushed stone, soil and decking and may be covered in snow or ice. Participants can choose the 8K Vicki Baron Lakeside Trail or add the Island Lake Family Trail and Hockley Trail to make this a 10K hike.
What to bring: water, snacks, hot drink (optional if the weather is cold), personal first aid kit, Health Card. Icers/crampons/cleats required for winter hikes.
Dress for the weather. No dogs please.
