Hike name: Beginner Hike – Riverside Park to Victoria Rd.

Check in at 9:20am for hike start at 9:30am

Hike description: Kick off February with a hike with views of the Speed River and forests. We will meet by the red carousel in Riverside Park in Guelph. We will chat about any questions and tips then head off on the trail, cross Woodlawn Rd then follow the Royal Recreation trail along the Speed River for a there and back hike.  Please have icers and dress for the weather – trail conditions will vary from snowy, icy, muddy, gravel, pavement, etc. 

This is a beginner hike but all hikers are welcome to join the hike. Pace may be impacted by trail conditions. 

Pace: 3.5 km/hr – approximately 4km 

Parking: parking lot in the park or off Marilyn Drive by Riverside Park, Guelph. The red carousel is by the concession building and train tracks.

Required: proper hiking shoes/boots, dress for the weather, I.D., icers/microspikes ready to use

Recommended: water, pole(s)

No dogs please.
