Ignatius Old Growth Forest

Hike name: Ignatius Old Growth Forest 

Check in at 9:20am for hike start at 9:30am

Hike description: 

From the crosswalk lights, we will walk on Victoria Rd. N. and over the bridge then go down a short incline into the forest. We will meander along the trails through the old growth forest with views of the Speed River, ruins, and the beautiful snowy landscape. There are several wooden boardwalks to cross. Please have icers and dress for the weather – trail conditions will vary from snowy, icy, muddy, gravel, etc. 

Pace: 4 km/hr – approximately 4km 

Parking: roadside parking along Victoria Rd. North (about 1km north of Woodlawn Road). Meet at the crosswalk lights. 

Required: proper hiking shoes/boots, dress for the weather, I.D., icers/micro spikes ready to use

Recommended: water, pole(s)

No dogs please.
