Wednesday the 22. April
Meet 9:30 am in Marden Park.
Take highway 6 North from Woodlawn. Turn left by the on the first traffic light on to County Rd 30. Marden Park is the second turn to the right.
We hike first by Marden Creek in thick cedar forest until it escapes into surrounding farmlands. Then we hike by several naturalized gravel pits that have become enchanting little ponds. Next we explore the Marden Tract, easy walk through mature forest with a possibility to see early spring flowers. After that we have a walk on an interesting section on the rail trail.
Moderate speed, level 1, about 2 hrs.
There a couple of muddy places.
