Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Time: 9:45am in the parking lot of Mono Cliffs
Pace: 4km/hr, approx. 11km – about 3 hrs plus breaks - moderate/challenging hike
Description: this trail has everything – hills to go up and down, beautiful forests and meadows, lookouts from the cliffs, lakes, glacial features, and the staircase to go down between the cliffs. We will follow various trails, including the Bruce Trail and other side trails. The trail is dirt-packed with rocks, roots, and possibly muddy sections.
Please note: there are a few steep hills to go up and down
Parking lot: 795086 3rd Line EHS, Shelburne. There are washrooms in the parking lot.
Carpool: meet downtown Guelph by the covered bridge at 8:30am – carpool drivers will make the reservation. Please let me know if you can be a driver or need a ride.
If you are driving yourself, please let me know and make a full day reservation at Ontario Parks (can be made 5 days before the hike date.) You can use an Ontario Parks pass (if you have one) or pay
Required: hiking shoes/boots, dress for the weather, I.D., water
Recommended: snacks, pole(s), bug protection
No dogs please.
