We will meet at the parking lot on Victoria Rd next to the river near where the Cliff Top trail starts and will hike along the RLT 1 to the Smith Property Loop. We'll walk around the loop and then head back to Victoria Rd on the same trail, seeing everything from a completely different perspective on the way back. We should be able to see some early signs of fall: wildflowers, changing leaves, migrating birds, and more.
Meeting place for carpooling: Covered Bridge (114–116 Gordon Street, Guelph)
Trailhead: Small parking lot on the east side of Victoria Rd, south of the river, and across from where the James Street Trail and Arboretum Sidetrail meet.
Date: Tuesday, September 15th
Time: 9:00-11:30 am
Distance: 10 km
Pace: 4 km/h
Level: 2
The trail is generally flat and in the woods, but there is a short road section and one steep hill.
