Starkey Hill Hike: Choose Your Adventure!
Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026
Location: Starkey Hill Conservation, approx. 735 Arkell Road, Puslinch (look for brown and yellow sign)
Time: 8am-10:30am (or 8am-9am, or 9:15am-10:30am)
Level: Level 2 due to uneven/rocky terrain, hills, may also be muddy in sections (Level 2+ for Hike A/B due to pace)
Pace: 4-5km/hr

Required: Hiking footwear, dress for the weather, ID
Recommended: Water, hiking pole(s), snack, first aid kit
Hike Description:Join Sam for a morning hike around Starkey Hill Conservation. Hikers can ‘choose their adventure’ for which hike duration/pace they’d like to join (see details below):
Hike A: Starting at 8am, we will hike the main loop at a brisk pace (up to 5km/hr), taking a snack/hydration break in the parking lot around 9am before getting back to the trail to hike it in reverse! This second portion of the hike will be at a slower pace, allowing hikers a little time to enjoy more of the changing colours of fall, and any other interesting flora and fauna we come across! Full hike should finish by 10:30am.
Hike B:This portion of the hike will only encompass the brisk portion (up to 5km/hr), starting at 8am with minimal breaks to be back in the parking lot for 9am.
Hike C:This portion of the hike will only encompass the slower portion (approx. 4km/hr), starting at 9:15am with water breaks as needed. Returning to the parking lot by 10:30am.
