Location: The old Ontario Reformatory off York Rd 905 York Rd #895, Guelph, ON N1E 6Y8 (park along the side of the road. Watchout for No Parking signs)

Check in at 8:45 am for a 9:00 am start. Approx. 1 1/2 hours
Description: This is an out and back starting from the Gatehouse on York Rd. We will follow the trail around the ponds where you may see and hear many birds, including some passing through migrating south.The trail will go mostly through forests along the Eramosa River to Stone Road, our turn around point. We will pass by the old quarry and the old Ontario Reformatory. There are lots of fall wild flowers out this time of year and the conifers are seeding.
The trail has a few small hills and there may be some muddy sections, roots and rocky areas.
Pace: Moderate speed, 3-4 km/hr, approx. 5.5km
Required: Water, hiking shoes, dress for the weather, ID
Recommended: bug spray, hiking poles optional
